Beauty of Nature

Some pictures I took in the garden today...

dogwood tree

A pale pink peony about to burst open

elephant ears

Do you know the name of this vining plant? I'm trying to find out.

Bright pink peonies in full bloom (I wish you could smell how intoxicating they are)

and best of all...
Mummy

Mummy is Lou, Sofia and Paw-Paw's (see right) mum. She occasionally stops by for a visit and some grub. While too feral to domesticate she's a lovely lady and we just adore her visits .

THANK YOU!!

I just looked it up and that's exactly what it is. Smells heavenly and delicate. It was here when we moved in and anyone I've asked didn't know.

I knew one of my smart readers would get it!

my favorite and my best beat me to it! I used to pull out the stamens when I was little and suck off the honey taste. That sounds bad...but it really wasn't!

Yep, when I saw it I knew it was honeysuckle! The deer here love to eat it! We have one white and one pink dogwood that were so pretty a couple of months ago. My elephant ears are just coming up, they were a little slow, but they are growing quickly now. Beautiful pictures!
