The Schinasi Mansion

Built during the American Renaissance and designed by architect William Burnet Tuthill (of Carnegie Hall fame) The Schinasi Mansion is the only private freestanding homes left in Manhattan. Lucky for us it's on the market so we get to step inside and indulge in some exquisite real estate porn.

Enjoy...

Holy Cannoli! Can you imagine living in a place like that? I just hope the next owner takes good care of it. I'll be posting a horror story sometime next week about the Chandler Mansion in Hancock Park (if you watch Flipping Out, it's the house where the client kept firing Jeff and Ryan).

I saw this place on one of those HGTV shows. Pretty amazing but its all a little too much for any mortal person to live in if you ask me.

I want to know what the bathrooms are like in that place. And the kitchen(s?). Is the plumbing and the electrical a mess?

Hee, yeah, seriously not for just any mere mortal to live in. I could see someone turning it into an uber expensive exclusive lounge type thing that brings to life the fantasy of stepping into a bygone era. That's what I would do if I were Chuck Bass.
