I've been wanting to get new lamps for the living room but the ones I find I like are so incredibly expensive I've been shuffling my feet. Since our home is very old I was looking for something classic but not frumpy. I stumbled upon these and I think they will make an elegant looking addition to our living room. Aged Brass Floor LampThey're from the Canopy Collection at WALMART! The floor lamp was originally $64.88 and is now $47-. The table lamp was originally 39.97 and is now $34-
I almost fell over. I've only seen them online so my only concern is the lamp shade but, for this price if the shade looks chintzy I can replace it, right? I'm also assuming that you can't adjust the height as the knob would suggest. It's most likely just decorative and fixed into place but that's not a big deal to me. I'm spazzing a bit over how happy I am to have found these and at these prices. Thanks Walmart!

I'd suggest actually going to Walmart and looking at these puppies. See what they're made of. I'm guessing some sort of very lightweight aluminum, with a finish on top. But will the finish begin to chip off? Are they so light that a gentle breeze would send them reeling? Sorry...I'm just suspicious of Walmart I guess.
That kinda goes without saying. Of course I'll check them out and if they're total garbage then I wouldn't get them.
So long as the base is weighted the actual material is well..immaterial.
I'm not expecting an heirloom item here.
I have a floor and table lamp set from WalMart and I LOVE IT. Mine is more wrought iron, and the lampshades have a faux leather look to them, which sounds cheap looking, but actually looks pretty authentic. I'm very happy with them.
I ain't too proud to for WalMart lamps!

I am going to have to go check these out. I have been looking for lamps for the house. They can be expensive. I went to Big Lots of all places and they had lamps for $120 , yes you read that right $120 at Big Lots. They were nice but I just couldn't do it. I need 2 at least to get me started.
Wow...I did not expect those to be from Walmart! I like them a lot! I too have been looking for lamps, but don't have a ton of money to spend. I am going to go to walmart's website right now :)
