The hubs does NOT get why I jump around the house like a little girl when my Vogue arrives.
quite honetly that brought a tear to my eye. like you, fashion played a big role in my life from about 10 years old til..well I'd like to say now but since i have no where to be fashionable anymore except the random audition and even then i am playing a mom more often that not, i tend to wear a whole lot of crap. t-shirts, jean cut offs flip flops...anyway...the september issue was SOOOOOO anticipatory. i poured over the pages, savoring every detail and modely nuance. i learned makeup and hair styles from vogue. i knew who was who in fashion and theatre et al. so- needless to say i am super duper stoked to see this!!!
my only wish from seeing this trailer was that they were making a weekly series on anna wintour! she is pretty much cooler than just about anybody.
I cannot wait, I cannot wait! I'm such a huge fan of Grace Coddington. I wanted to be a fashion editor for so long because of her. Well, that didn't work out, but I'm pretty sure I couldn't have cut it in the industry anyway :o) Anna Wintour, I have a love/hate thing with her. This is a must see movie for me :o)
Ladies, thanks for those wonderful comments.
No matter that Anna Wintour is a polarizing figure she and Coddington are geniuses at what they do. Their ability to manage to weave reality and fantasy into a stack of glossy aspirational pages every month is brilliance.
