Love

At just 23 years old photographer Nicholas Evariste, who hails from Ganville, France has managed to become one of my favorites. The images below are Giraffa In Love I through VI from his Dark Zoo Series. I am so completely taken with the love and tenderness these giraffes feel for one another and Nicholas' ability to capture it on film. Such exquisite creatures.

You are terrific for posting this stunning photos buy Nicholas. And to think he is a mere 23!? Unreal.

So glad you like the post of Jackie. I really loved your comments. The last decade has really brought incredible losses. I long for times when life seemed more care-free. Hardly can recall now. Cannot image ever seeing Jacqueline. I would of needed CPR. Thanks for sharing that with me. All the best to you today THL!

I've just been elected to our zoo board of directors. One of the new installations is an African exhibit. The giraffes should be arriving next year. I'm most excited about their arrival. Love these photos. Really beautiful.

Have you ever sat and actually thought about what a giraffe is? I mean, aside from the obvious (an animal, Chloe, there you go). I stood at a zoo once staring long and hard at the giraffes, really thinking about them and managed to completely freak myself out, no recreational drugs required, swearsies.

I later did the same thing with Zebras. The Zebras! Those stripes! Are they horses? Are they donkeys?! WHAT'S WITH THE STRIPES?!?!?! There's just something not right about them! ACCCJASDFJAKKK!!

Beautiful photos!

I'm going to blow Chloe's mind here - there is such a thing as a Zedonk. Bred from a male zebra and a female donkey - yep...
