Drinks with Edgar

Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore,
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
`'Tis some visitor,' I muttered, `tapping at my chamber door -
Only this, and nothing more.'

My cat Luigi always jumps in my lap when I look at your blog. He looks a lot like a couple of your kitties. J-Kun and Cookie.

Very cool glassware. I've been a Poe fan since I was a wee girly.

Jill, I had NO idea you had a cat! What a great name Luigi is.

We named him Luigi because we found him in the parking lot at an Italian restaurant. He was skin and bones. The restaurant manager said that they were about to call Animal Control...so we took him home and he's turned out to be one of the best cats I've ever had.

Wow, he lucked out majorly. Talk about scoring big time getting a spot at Casa de Jill!

I love stories like this because I always say that they find/adopt us.

ok first off, if martha's editors know what's up they will use those glasses in an upcoming halloween editorial. and second, jill and luigi..weirdly i too scored my cat naggie from a restaurant. she was skin and bones and looked a little bit like a monkey. we did not name her after the restaurant. otherwise it would have been ruth chris.

my fave and my best...funny story. The restaurant is called Cappetto's, so Luigi was the first Italian name that came to mind. My husband bought him an order of shrimp and even though he was just a wraith, he refused to eat it! Maybe he knew they were about to call Animal Control...fuckers!

Typical cat. Shrimp? I thought I asked you to order me the tuna steak!
