It is with a profoundly deep sadness that I say Alexander McQueen has died.
Most regrettably, it's being reported that his death was a suicide and that he was found having hanged himself in his London apartment. He'd been grieving the loss of his mother, Joyce who had died just a few days ago. Ironically his very dear friend Isabella Blow had also taken her own life after being diagnosed with ovarian cancer just 3 years ago.
I worshiped at the alter of McQueen's genius. He was one of the true talents in the fashion industry. Ever innovative and unafraid he never failed to thrill me with his designs.

I'm completely devastated, in total denial. I'm trying to work on a blog post, but it's impossible to say how much he really meant to me. He spoke to me on another level. I pray he's at peace now.
