Read here how Mona the little beauty of Maison21 fame (seen here with her brother Richard) managed to get Lex the Collie into a loving home.
You can read Mona and Richard's story here.
While you're at it you should also peruse all the fabulous design related posts at Maison21 as well.
After all it is how Mona and Richard (the cat) are kept in kibble!
So next time you're considering expanding your family with a furry friend please go to a shelter not a breeder. There are way too many animals that are desperately waiting for good homes and someone to shower with their love and affection.
See that Big Boy? This is why I'm convinced someone will see your handsome face and fall so truly, madly and deeply for you that they'll come get you and give you a home filled with love, kibble and kisses.

I love Richard the Cat. And adoption success stories, of course. I'm rooting for Big Boy - you can tell he's an old soul that would make any family happy.
I read this the other day, wasn't it great? I love seeingpictures of little Mona. and now I want a collie. Somebody stop me!
Mona is SO cute! Well, all 3 of these furry friends are cute, but Mona is my fave. That face, and those short little legs... Too much!
I'm a cat person (obvi!) but Mona is such a special little dog. Her little sweet smiling face just gets me grinning.
She could be the poster girl for pet adoption.
Lucinda- I know you're a dog person but how cool would it be to say, This is Bad Girl and Big Boy? They even match one another with the white body black accents look! Plus, he's as big as a dog. Almost, maybe as big as Mona. Anyhoo, enjoy your trip (I'm so FREEKING jealous!).
Ok, Mona might be the cutest dog I have ever seen {besides my little baby, of course}!!! LOVE THEM ALL!!!!
the dog is saying cheese! i just know it...to cute. and your blog is jammmmin!
Just too cute! And thank you for pointing out going to a shelter and not a breeder. Two of my neighbors are rescuers (one rescues Greyhounds and one Scottish Terriers). The lady that helps with Scottish Terriers has some "breeder" horror stories - I use quotes because some people are not proper breeders. Not all breeders are bad - my hairdresser breeds Papillons and he's a kick butt Dad to those dogs. But if you simply must go to a breeder then do your homework! Such a shame the way humans treat animals sometimes.
I'll get off my soapbox now :o)
So sweet. I am with you. Have never had a dog that was not a shelter dog, cat, too, and it is honestly as if they know. I have had wonderful animals that have lived love, wonderful lives with our family. Great way to go.
